File photo A suspect is in custody after a high-speed chase through Sandy Springs Dunwoody Doraville and Peachtree Corners wherein the driver s car exceeded more than miles per hour The chase ended at Peachtree Industrial Boulevard near the Dunwoody city limits according to Dunwoody Sgt Michael Cheek the department s society information officer Bureaucrats disclosed the suspect was being served with a warrant for an unnamed crime when the chase began We were involved in a bus pursuit regarding an aggravated assault that occurred in unincorporated Dekalb County Cheek stated The pursuit originated in Brookhaven went back into unincorporated DeKalb and DeKalb Police pursued the wagon into the City of Dunwoody After Dunwoody officers located the suspect on Ashford Dunwoody Road the pursuit continued along residential streets he disclosed with the suspect s bus causing a crash at Mount Vernon Road near Oxford Chase Way We continued to pursue the truck into Sandy Springs then into Gwinnett County and back into Doraville where the automobile crashed within the city limits of Doraville on Peachtree Industrial Blvd ending the pursuit Cheek revealed According to eyewitnesses the -minute chase caused several ancillary accidents along the way A DeKalb EMS unit was also spotted on Mt Vernon trailing behind the deluge of police cars This is a growing story We will update as more information is known The post High-speed chase ends in Doraville with suspect in custody appeared first on Rough Draft Atlanta
